"Even if my seeds are thrown amongst the rocks, I will flourish" ~Griselda Gallego
daughters of zion
If we dare to be honest with ourselves, many of us live in a perpetual cycle of dissatisfaction. We master the art of public smiles and private cries. Although things may seem steady & stable on a surface level, there is often a deep longing for purpose, direction and passion to pursue the "thing" we were meant to do with our lives-- the women we were meant to be.
And yet the pain of unmet dreams and disappointments keep us paralyzed in an often discreet state of fear, subtle enough to trick us into believing we are not truly stuck.
What would happen if we surrendered to the divine tug that God has been exerting on us, calling us to dream again? To mourn the things we thought would be, and to step back and take an aerial view of our lives. To realize that there have been so many gems in the desert the entire time. Have we been sensitive and aware of what our life journey has been teaching us?
Life is short, and each and every one of us has a position and calling that we cannot afford to forfeit. Your calling will often break you, but it is so that you can be better equipped to put others back together. Your healed trauma's will bring healing to many. Your painfully earned wisdom will counsel others back into wholeness.
This process doesn't happen outside of a healthy community. My prayer is that in Daughters of Zion, you find a place of fellowship, healing, encouragement and partnership. A place to talk, laugh, eat, pray and get down to the nitty gritty of where we tend to get stuck, so that we can get "unstuck" and dream together.
Join us. Because it's time.
